Questions and answers of the Rashba, Bologna 1639, first edition. Signatures and glosses.

Second section by Rabbeinu Shalom ben Aderet, the Rashba. 216 page (16) page—16 last pages are missing (Winograd Bologna 14). There are a number of glosses on policy in Sefardi handwriting, important signatures and many lists: “Yehuda Borla,” maybe Rabbi Yehuda bar Yisrael Yaakov Borla, a sage of Jerusalem in the 19th century, compiler of questions and answers “Nahalat Yehuda.” Gloss signed Yosef Zamiro—compiler of the book “Hon Yosef,” Livorno 1828. Cover page is defective and missing somewhat, without damage to the text, with additions and lists from Aleppo 1869. A very nice copy in generally excellent condition, there are a few stains and light defects. New binding.

“Toldot Adam v’Chava” with “Meisharim” of Rabbeinu Yeruham. Venice 1553—nice copy, extremely rare.

Psakei halacha and hanhagot for man, with “Meisharim,” civil law, in 32 fields, by Rabbeinu Yeruham ben Meshulam of Provincia, one of the foundational books by the Rishonim on halacha. Vencie 1553, second edition, 104, 238 page (Winograd Venice 461). Meisharim is at the end, 2 white pages are between the two books. Handwritten signatures of “Shmuel Florentin.” Nice, handsome copy, especially for a book this early and used, very few light defects, moth bits, and stains. Bound with a new, handsome leather binding.

“Tola’at Yaakov,” Kushta 1560, on Kabbalah, first edition—extremely rare.

Exegesis on the prayers according to Kabbalah, by the Kabbalist Rabbi Meir Gabbay. 80 pages, 19cm (Winograd Kushta 218), an important and rare book of Kabbalah. After the covre page is a long list handwritten, a number of small glosses also amongst the pages. Ok condition, many pages are damaged and professionally restored. New binding.

“Mishne Torah,” of the Rambam with “Kesef Mishneh” of Maran Beit Yosef—first edition! Venice 1574, complete set—four wonderful volumes. Lists, signatures, and glosses.

“Mishneh Torah” of Rabbeinu Moshe ben Maimon, the Rambam, with objections of the Ravad, the Maggid Mishneh, with “Kesef Mishneh” of the Gaon Yosef Karo, with pictures specifically related to the Kiddush HaChodesh by the Maharlabach. 4 sections, first edition of the composition “Kesef Mishneh” of the Rambam, printed by Maran the Beit Yosef in his lifetime. First section—(22) 316 pages. Second section—(9) 219 pages. Third section—(20) 451 (1) page. Fourth section—(10) 297, (9) page. (Winograd 600). Complete, very amazing set, extremely rare, 4 volumes with new red binding with gilded engraving, some of the pages were completed from other copies, pages with various levels of damage, all professionally restored. Signatures and lists handwritten with a number of glosses amongst the pages. At the end of the fourth section is a long list in Ashkenazi handwriting from 1810.

(1) 121 page, long list on the cover page, handwritten, finishing “Itzik the printer.” Signatures of ownership on the last page. Size 35cm, new binding, good condition.

Masechet Nedarim, Basel 1680, rare.

With three commentaries, Rashi, Rabbeinu Nissim, and Rabbeinu Asher, and the mishnayot with the Rambam commentary. The Shas of the Talmud Bavli was printed in Basel from 1678-1681 in 44 volumes, including a number of volumes for mishnayot Zra’im, Kedoshim, and Taharot, without Talmud Bavli. Before us is volume 17 out of this edition. (1) 2-118 page. 35cm. there are a number of handwritten glosses. Generally good condition, last pages are professionally restored. New binding.

“Kli Yakar” Prague 1608—second edition—handwritten signature of Gaon Rabbi David Greenhot. Rare.

Exegesis on Rashi’s commentary on the Torah with pshat on the Torah, by Gaon Rabbi Shlomo Ephraim Lunshitz, the “Olelut Ephraim.” 141 page. On the cover page is the signature of the Gaon Rabbi David Greenhot. HaHida writes about him that he was “the smartest in wisdom, study, nature…” Rare book! With a rare signature! The cover page has handsome engravings, defect on the cover page and the last page with damage to the text, the rest is in good condition, stains and wear. New binding.

Gemera, Talmud Yerushalmi, with commentary of Rabbi David ben Menashe of Krakow, known as Rabbi David Darshan, verses of the Reef and the Ra’ash and ba’alei Tosafos. Second edition of the Talmud Yerushalmi ever printed, printed yb Yitzhak Proztitz. 32, 43, 46- 83, 66, 51, pages. 35cm. [In this copy the page numbering is different]. (Winograd Krakow 289). 4 sections bound together: Zra’im, Mo’ed, Nashim, Nezikin. Every section has a separate cover page. Similar cover pages with an architectural motif, nice engraving. Between Zra’im and Mo’ed there is a white page with a long handwritten list from an old Ashkenazi hand, of exegeses on hard words in the Talmud Yerushalmi. Generally good condition, stains, light defects restored. Signature of ownership, 2 handwritten glosses.

By Rabbeinu Shlomo ben Aderet, the Rashba, second section. Third editioin. 322 pages, the title page has an engraving of Moshe and Aharon and the Binding of Isaac. Size 20cm. Only a defect in the margins of the cover page, the rest in generally good condition. Stains and light wear, new, handsome binding.

Sefer Torah, written by hand on leather parchment. Morocco, 17-18th century.

Parchment scroll made from a large cattle, every piece of leather was used, and the writing was done on its exterior side, which caused its unusual coloring (brown-red), uniform writing throughout. Very nice writing, a professional sofer (not sold as a kosher scroll). Size 54cm, Morocco.

Megillat Esther ink on parchment, seems to be from Italy, 15 columns, 24 lines per column, size of the parchment is 23.5cm. Generally good condition, thick parchment. Ink smudges in many places but everything is readable. Light defects in the parchment.

Megillat Esther, special, handsome illustrations. Ink on parchment, 20th century.

Written and illustrated by hand, ink on parchment, 38 columns, throughout the megillah are illustrations from the stories of the megillah, all are colored in a variety of nice colors. Size of the parchment is 9.5cm, the columns are 6cm. Around 11 lines per column. Ashkenazi script, 20th century, without a doubt a wonderful item because of its beauty. Generally excellent condition, stain at the start of the megillah on two columns without damage to the quality of the ink.

Seems to be written in Italy in the 17th century, printed on quality paper. With the tree of life made of olivewood. Given in a velvet case. Size of the megillah: 40cm, but including the wood is 53cm. Size of the package: 8x11x57cm. Very good condition.

Lot of dozens of pictures, when his body was brought from America to Jerusalem, in which thousands of Israelis participated in accompanying his body on Purim. Eulogies were given at the Etz Haim yeshiva on Yafo street, in the pictures appear the eulogizers, Rav Eliezer Menahem Shach and Rav Shlomo Zalman Auerbach, and more. There are a number of pictures, also from the funeral of Rav Yaakov Yisrael Kinievsky, the Steipler, in Bnei Brak. Dozens of pictures, different conditions, some are damaged.
