“Matzat Shmurim” with “Yayin HaMeshumar” Venice 1657-1670. Very rare. Only edition.

“Matzat Shmurim” on the mezuzah, tzitzit, the writing on the tefillin (Matzat is the acronym for those three) and the order of Brachot HaShachar according to the Kabbalah, with the book “Yayin HaMeshumar” on the issue of drinking stam yaynam, by the Kabbalist HaRav Natan Shapira. Only edition. 84. 38 page. Very rare. Pretty copy bound with leather [seems to be snakeskin] original. Good condition. Stains. Upper margins are cut on the edges. Damage to the titles on some pages.

“Amudei HaTorah,” brother of the Gra, with commentary from the Gaon HaRav Yitzhak Izik Hever, the student of the Ham from Shklov, student of the Gra—with additional page of “Tzav’at HaGaon HaMechaber,” only edition, rare.

“Maalot HaTorah,” on increasing the study of the Torah, by the Gaon Rabbi Avraham Achi, brother of the Gra. Accompanied by “Or Torah,” that expands upon the issues discussed in the book “Ma’a lot HaTorah,” by the Gaon HaRav Yitzhak Izik Hever. Jerusalem 1880, only edition. (2) 72 page. With endorsements of the sages of Jerusalem, HaRav Shmuel of Salant and more. At the end of the book, a page is added printed by itself, in different lettering, in which Tzav’at HaGaon HaMechaber, mentions his book “Binyan Olam.” HaRav Yitzhak Izik Hever: a posek and kabbalist, primary student of the Rav Menahem Mendel of Shklov, student of the Gaon of Vilna, born in Hordna 1789, died in Sovalk in 1853, compiled many books on the pshat and Kabbalah, amongst which are: Binyan Olam, Ptachei She’arim, Magen v’Tzina, and exegeses on the writings of the Gra and the Ramam of Shklov, and more. Good condition, dry pages, stamp of ownership of “Neta Tzvi Weiss, Jerusalem-born.”

Machzor “Shnot Chayim” by Rav Haim Palagi, Livorno 1865—first edition

Machzor according to the Sefardi custom, with prayers written by the Ari and a numbering of the days, with glosses of the Moharar Haim Muda’I, at the end are bakashot from the Moharar David Pardo and others, and which prayers of HaHida, and Yavetz with halachot from Haim Palagi. First edition, published by Rabbeinu Haim Palagi with an introduction by him, (2) 162 page. Handwritten signature in Mizrahi handwriting on the title page, “the young Menashe Yehezkel Ezra Reuven,” excellent condition.

Collection of books on the brit milah: “Sod Hashem,” with “Sharvit HaZahav” and “Brit Hashem” by Rav David Delida, Av Beit Din of Amsterdam, Vienna 1837. 3 identical copies. “Divrei HaBrit” prayers and blessings and songs for the brit milah, by HaRav Yitzhak ben Aryeh Yosef Dov, Redelheim 1874. “Brit Yitzhak” for the 8th night before the bris, according to the custom of Israel and Turkey, Vienna 1865. In addition, four books on the brit milah in different translations. Some of the books have handwriting, lists, and signatures. Different sizes, different conditions. Generally good condition.

Sefer Azharot, Livorno 1836. Special format.

Order of the 248 positive commandments and the 365 negative commandments through poetry and wordplay, that are traditionally said on Shavuot, by Rabbeinu Yitzhak ben Reuven—before the time of the Rif, with “Azharot” by the Gaon Rav Shlomo ben Gvirol, with exegesis, piyutim, and a writing for the holiday of Shavuot and megillat ruth. 56 pages, special format—long and narrow, height 12cm, length 20cm. All of the pages are framed, stamps of ownership and corrections in handwriting between the pages. Generally excellent condition, original binding, defect at the bottom of the title page is restored.

1. Booklet on Megillat Esther, in large lettering with vowels and ta’amim, with blessings for the megillah and drawings, Dar Albicha—Morocco 1950, 27 pages, size 15cm. 2. Pamphlet “Vidui HaGadol” on negative commandments, which were traditionally said in the morning before the Torah reading to awaken the hearts of the community with great Teshuva; Beirut, Lebanon, 1960, printed by the Mahdav brothers. It was printed during the years when the Beirut community packed up and left Lebanon.

3 machzors: 1. “Kavanat HaPaytan” second section of prayers for the Shalosh Regalim, 1802. 111, 116, 74 page. Binding and pages are loose, wear, number of pages are torn including the text. 2. Machzor for the whole year according to the Ashkenazi custom. 1823. 177 page. On the page before the title page there is a list of the births and deaths of rabbis from 1826 until 1864. Ok to good condition, binding and pages are loose, wear, a little moth damage. 3. Machzor according to the Ashkenazi custom, second section with Kavanat HaPaytan, 1837. 28, 96, 102 page. Not bound, pages are loose. Wear, damage to the text on a few pages.

“Kriya and Tikkun for Leil Shavuot” Amsterdam, 1701—bound in parchment

One of the early editions of the book printed afterwards in dozens of editions, 72 page, 15cm (Winograd Amsterdam 730). On the page before the title page is a handwritten listing “this book is mine, my name is Yitzhak Roderigsh Frira, in Bordiush, Wednesday, the 15th of the month of adar, in 1749. On the last white page this is a long list in old handwriting (seems to be French) with signature. Old parchment binding (maybe original), very nice. Book in excellent condition.

Seder Mussafin, Hoshanot, and Hakafot according to the Livorno custom with exegesis, by HaRav Moshe Hai Refael Milul, printed by Eliezer Saadon. First edition was published the same year and with the same recipe of 98 pages. Before us is the second edition, with 72 pages. Miniature format, 7.5x11cm, generally good condition, damage on the title page, new binding.

“Yoru Mishpatecha L’Yaakov” by Rabbi Yaakov Abuhatzira, Jerusalem 1885. Only edition, with signature of the Kabbalist HaRav Yaakov Hai Zrihan of Tiberias.

Questions and answers by the Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Abuhatzira, the Abir Yaakov. Brought to the publisher by his son, Rabbi Aaron Abuhatzira in Jerusalem, with endorsements of the great rabbis in Jerusalem, the Rishonim LeZiyyon HaRav Yaakov Shaul Alisher and HaRav Refael Meir Fanigil, HaRav eliyahu Saliman Mani and HaRav Rahamim Yosef Franko (the Harif) with endorsements of the rabbis of Tiberias and Tzfat. (9) 156 pages. Only edition. Rabbi Yaakov did not agree to print his books during his lifetime, many times his eldest son asked him to give permission to print them but he said he would appear to his son in a dream after his death and would tell him if his books found favor with God and if so, he could print them. After his death he did appear to his son in a dream and told him he could print them. Most were printed between 1884-1888 in Jerusalem by his sons (Chochmei HaMizrach, p. 175). On the page after the title page is the handwritten signature of the Gaon HaRav Yaakov Hai Zrihan, one of the head rabbis of Tiberias, compiler of the books “Shofraya d’Yaakov” and “Bechorei Yaakov,” generally good condition, a number of loose pages, water stains, fragile pages.
